Lorne Pedestrian Bridges

Contek Constructions was engaged to construct six new pedestrian bridges within the Otway National Park.

To complete the project, Contek adhered to the stringent regulations and restrictions that are inherent to working within a national park. Additionally, access to worksite was very restricted, requiring the use of Contek's specialty lightweight and tight access plant to enable the construction of the new bridges, whose lengths ranged between 10 and 17 metres long.

Main Scope:

• Demolition of existing footbridges
• Construction of six new steel and concrete footbridges
• Minimise harm to surrounding environment
