Greenswoods Lane Culvert Replacements
As part of our annual supply works contract for Yarra Ranges Council, Contek was engaged to replace dilapidated culverts at two points along Greenwoods Lane, Steels Creek.
The project saw Contek excavate and demolish the existing culverts, install new RCP (one 825⌀, the other 1350⌀) and accompanying headwalls. The culverts were completed with rock beaching, prior to Armco railing and fencing being installed.
As both streams were flowing, the installations required constant bypass pumping and extensive sediment controls in place. Additionally, being a single lane gravel road, traffic management was a vital component of this project.
Contek was pleased to complete this job without inducing any major delays to road users and leaving behind culverts befitting the beautiful and serene environment of Steels Creek.
