Point Nepean Seawall Restoration and Erosion Control and Beach Access Structures

Contek Constructions were engaged to rebuild the dilapidated sea wall and construct new beach access boardwalks. Not only was work carried out with limited access, but the entire work area was subject to stringent environmental and cultural heritage regulations.

Main Scope:

• Earthworks and footing rectification to existing seawall
• Provide new seawall, involving piles driven into the beach, extensive shotcrete
• Backfill area behind seawall with high strength concrete, 300m3 stabilised sand and 500m3 of sand
• Construct elevated beach access boardwalks
