Kenworth Carpark Extensions

Contek were engaged to construct a carpark to augment the expansion of Kenworth Truck’s production facility in Bayswater North. This carpark was constructed with 270 bays over 7200m² of asphalt paving. The prevailing ground conditions called for in-situ stabilisation, prior to the crushed rock courses and asphalt. Drainage was significantly upgraded, with a major pit and pipe overhaul, kerb and channel and subsoil drainage. The carpark was illuminated with a comprehensive public lighting system. Contek was able to work with the client to reduce costs and dispose of excavated material onsite to create landscape and screening mounds which also provide an extension to a walking track which meanders around the facility.
