Greenswoods Lane Culvert Replacements

As part of our annual supply works contract for Yarra Ranges Council, Contek was engaged to replace dilapidated culverts at two points along Greenwoods Lane, Steels Creek.

The project saw Contek excavate and demolish the existing culverts, install new RCP (one 825⌀, the other 1350⌀) with accompanying headwalls. The culverts were completed with rock beaching, prior to Armco railing and fencing being installed.

As both streams were flowing, the installations required constant bypass pumping and sediment controls in place. Additionally, being a single lane gravel road and the only access to a number of properties, traffic management and resident communication was a vital component of this project.
