Point Nepean Seawall Restoration and Erosion Control and Beach Access Structures

Contek Constructions were engaged by Parks Victoria to rebuild a dilapidated sea wall and construct new beach access structures at Pt Nepean National Park. Not only was work carried out in a remote environment with limited access, but the entire work area was subject to stringent environmental and cultural heritage regulations.

Main Scope:

• Work within an ever changing marine environment at the mouth of Port Phillip Bay
• Prepare and install a new 'shotcrete wall' over the existing dilapidated sea wall
• Backfill area behind seawall with high strength concrete, 300m3 stabilised sand and 500m3 of sand
• Construct elevated beach access boardwalks
