Bogong Reserve GPT Installation

In Bogong Reserve, Mount Waverly, Contek constructed a 7.2m deep Continuous Deflection Seperation (CDS) GPT system complete with a separation chamber and diversion chamber with the engagement from the City of Monash. The GPT served the purpose of diverting water flowing within Bogong Reserve into the separation pit to remove sediment and oil from the water before being diverted back into its original path.
However, the project was not without challenges, requiring Contek to innovate during the construction process to combat weather and unforeseen situations, such as the presence of asbestos. Regardless, Contek met all expectations and delivered the work in a safe manner.
With this project being highlighted by its environmental nature, Contek more than welcomes these projects as it is always at the forefront of our thinking.
